huh?
My point is that if I were taking the nationals test, I wouldn't want it to be about the swine flu if one of my friends had it.
I still think that the CDC will put swine flu on it. If not, then I will be extremely surprised. Just the fact that it is a current event is the huge factor here. I don't thin the CDC will be thinking of people being upset.

It's just like any other disease though. Everyone gets sick once in a while, swine flu's not any different. (Yet.)

I don't think that people would get too emotional if there was something on a test about a disease that someone they know has. While there are a good amount of people that have the swine flu, what are the odds that their friends are going to the National tournament for science olympiad and they are on disease detectives?? besides, the cdc usually uses scenarios that are current (As people have already said) so like people have been saying, they will probably have stuff about the swine flu on there.

It was surprisingly not written by the CDC (I think) and it was about Salmonella and this thing cryptosporidium. It was long, it took me and my partner up until 3 minutes left to finish it. Most of the questions weren't that bad, but some were annoying/hard. I ended up getting 7th somehow :D :D
