How much harder are state words than regional words?
To people that have been posting examples of their words: Were those from state or regional competitions?

Our regional words were WAAY easier than our state words. We got 21 words at regionals, and like 11 at state.

Some of our regional words: bone, lung, kingdom, electron, atom, cell

Some of our state words: mastication, cloud computing, angiosperm, iteration, caldera

yeah, we knew we nailed it after regionals with those easy words, but at state we were a little uneasy, but still thought we did pretty well. We got 2nd in Indiana, so that's definitely okay with me, haha.

Dudeincolorado, we have a lot of the same events!
yea, i noticed that 200 words is nothing to be proud about. we got 9/25 words right and was tied with another school, but my team skipped fewer words so we placed first.

well, i guess if i get to proceed on to state, i will definitely start practicing earlier ><

what state r u in????

if your salt shaker had an "S" then no, otherwise it looks fine... i mean anything we do is a symbol when you really think about it....

And how difficult are the words?
We got 5 at regionals :x even though the words were fairly easy. The difficulty will vary, it depends entirely on the supervisor.
