Okay, I was just wondering because the Division B event rules don't specify it. But on the event powerpoint (from soinc.org) it lists life history patters/strategies as only for Division C. I just wanted to clear up whether or not it applied to Division B (because it would make sense if it did since that's general ecology).

Yeah, in general I think that referring to the rules is definitely a good idea but it wouldn't hurt to study the other stuff too if you've got extra time. You never know what could show up :P

I think it's a good idea to study the Water Quality indicator species from the past few years, because it's a likely source proctors will go to on the aquatic side. For air indicator species, a quick google search will bring some up, such as lichen.
Thank you!

Just curious, but for air pollution are we supposed to be studying indoor air pollution as well as outdoor air pollution? I'm focusing mostly on outdoor air pollution but checking up on indoor stuff too, just in case... wondering what you guys are thinking/doing. Thanks!

I haven't been on this event for too long, but anyway...here's what I think.

-Get through the SOINC Training Handout somewhat quickly.
-Skim over the topics in the Event Rules that are on the EPA website. I think all of the Part 2 (human impact on environment) stuff can be found there, and a lot of good info for your cheat sheet.
-Tests from the test exchange.
-Maybe look through an AP Environmental Science review book.

Good luck.

So quiet here...

Besides the EPA site, anyone find any good databases for environmental science?

For the laws, I google'd like 'APES laws' and a lot of useful notes showed up.

Sustainability and pollution went side by side when I found resources.

For bioremediation, I mostly used Wikipedia.
