I am right behind the competitor who launches the car, the one with the pink shirt on. I have the fro! Also awesome runs! I remember seeing them and I thought, "that was freaking insane."

Edit: In the first video it is much easier to actually see me!

Were the camera people very close to you, or was it just zoomed in a lot? I heard about some camera people getting really close to competitors while they were trying to focus and test devices...

If I remember correctly the camera people just zoomed in A LOT. Like an obscene amount. They were standing next to the supervisors who were like off the side of the starting box from last year.

Here you go. Track was 9.8 m. Top 17 teams went for the bonus and were successful. Another 4 went for it on at least one run and were not.
Place - Tm # - Time - Distance - Score
1 - 19 - 1.75 - 5.5 - 5077.00
2 - 11 - 2.56 - 3.3 - 5071.00
3 - 2 - 2.48 - 6.7 - 5068.50
4 - 27 - 1.56 - 16.1 - 5068.30 (their other run's time of 1.47 was the fastest at Nats)
5 - 7 - 2.66 - 6.6 - 5066.80
6 - 23 - 1.65 - 18.4 - 5065.10
7 - 32 - 2.56 - 10.0 - 5064.40
8 - 3 - 2.83 - 8.0 - 5063.70
9 - 8 - 3.22 - 5.4 - 5062.40
10 - 15 - 3.73 - 6.5 - 5056.20

So what did you think of the bonus?

BTW, it's Bro. Nigel!

I thought the bonus was a brilliant challenge. It was fun trying to figure out how to do it and master it, and I loved that it gave the event a new aspect that seemed difficult at first, and it really was all about practice! Challenges are always great :)
