Congrats! Your runs are beautiful, and I've watched each at least ten times already!

Awesome runs! Is that a similar setup to last year?

Yep. I used the same launcher from last year (elastic), and modified the car to curve.

I'd be willing to share more about how my device worked if people are interested. Hopefully we can all share and mutually benefit :)

Thanks!

I'm interested in your turning mechanism if you don't mind sharing :)

12th Place

Time: 2.8~3 seconds
Distance: 18 centimeters
Score: ~5052 points.

Long story short, I forgot to impound part of our device and we spent most (7 minutes) of our time rebuilding it - it was a miracle we managed to get off one run...

I got 13th place (Camas) with a time of around 1.0-1.1 seconds but a distance of 40 to 45 cm, score of around 5045-5050. I was able to get of my conservative first run fine, but on my second run I was rushed, and fired off a run with 11 seconds left and incorrect revolutions, leading to a worse score. I'm pretty disappointed I never got to truly go for the kill shot at something like 5 cm, but I had a great time at nats, it was the first time my device ran the bonus in competition at high (spring) speed. Scrambler as an event has taught me so much about engineering as a whole, and as a senior now going to Cal Poly for ME, I must say signing up for sci oly my Junior year was probably the best decision I made in high school. I learned alot, made friends, and became a better engineer. Props to sci oly for being awesome, and Scrambler for being the best event of all time
