I think the gap between gelinas and the second place team will begin to close this year, and hickville will do well this year (maybe even making the top five)
I doubt Hicksville MS will ever be the team it was last year. Of course that comment comes with a lot bias because I was on the team last year, and we want to be rememberd as the best hicksivlle team. :D (that means i'm really kidding and i really hope they do well). Last year we had a lot of problems with the building events that caused us to do worse than we would have really done (eg. my tower getting tired by indescribable measurements, costing us ~32pts). No buliding event usually ever does as well at competition than at practice, but if everything had worked as planned, we would have gotten between 5-6place.
Whatever happens this year i wish the MS team a lot of luck. For me, it's up to west point in a fews days. I"m not competiting so it's a possiblity that i'll see many of you there. Good luck to everyone.

Hickville did really well this year, I don't think they got worse than 7th place in any event. And they usally got a first, or the occasional second.

dont forget though, many schools did well, including the usual (us, hicksville, wisdom lane) but also some new schools which is good because all schools deserve at least a little glory.

Well, I won't be bringing a stronger game to states than I did to regionals, because I just didn't have the time to work on SO the past few weeks. Kind of sad, considering how much I put into this before regionals.

In general the team does great at Regionals, but we're meh at States. As Smartkid said, last year's team was probably the best. Even then, the team got 9th.

Also, our lowest place at Regionals this year was 17th :| . Besides that though, it was almost all top 10's.
