I hear that FM actually takes all of the 15-18 year old within a 20 mile radius of the school and sets them loose and only those that kill a wolf and return alive are given the opportunity to try-out for the Science Olympiad team (of course then comes the real challanges, like hand to hand combat with pencils and binder-fights to the death).

 Ours isn't exactly like that...
Science Olympiad is a tribute to Murphey's Law. This has been proven experimentally.
And no, I'm not a guy...even though my sig says will robsinson. It's a reference to Lost in Space, an ancient sci fi TV show. And the robot is the character who always says the line.

if you do it right its not that hard, you just have to master how to throw pencils, and its not hard to kill a wolf, just used poisoned meat

Unfortunately, no. I was role-playing as Coach Leonidas.

we may have a class next year, but I think it is a good thing, because our highschool has an enrollement of less than a 100, and having a class may be the only way we can possibly compete with schools with enrollments in the 3000s or whatever.......

lol thinking about it, more than 15% of our highschool is in science olympiad

I'd love to have a sci oly class. Our school is too lazy to have one. We meet on random weekends by ourselves.

we don't exactly have a class
we meet on club days (during school) which is twice every 6 day cycle (our schedules are confusing especially since they changed the imes and everything) so instead of movie club or somthing we have sci oly club
and we have afterschool study time where the coaches can help us.

My school has an extremely successful SCIO class that was designed by a couple students in the club. the class essentially runs like a study hall where once a grading period each student submits a study/work schedule to the teacher and is then graded based upon what they accomplish.
anything that happens happens.

anything that, in happening causes something else to happen, causes something else to happen.

anything that, in happening, causes itself to happen again, happens again.

it doesn't necessarily do it in chronological order, though.
