Re: Science Olympiad Classes
See we had the class when the whole school had an mastery period. You know, like in middle school when you were assigned and extra reading, writing, or math class. Instead of one of those we had a SO mastery, this worked out great because mastery didn't have a curriculum, it was just an extra class.
SO stressed!

And I thought that kellenberg was bad. At least we get half cycle study halls in 12th grade.

Re: Science Olympiad Classes
Word in my region is that Fayetteville-Manlius, NY, has a Science Olympiad class that you have to take to be on the team, as well as payed coaches. I can't speak to the truth of that, but they have gone to nationals for years and years, so a class definitely appears to have done them well.
I'm from the same region, and we would love to have a block devoted to SO to give us a better chance of competing with schools like FM.

Wow, paid coaches. Are the coaches teachers at the school or did the school hire them from somewhere else?tweedlebeetle wrote:Word in my region is that Fayetteville-Manlius, NY, has a Science Olympiad class that you have to take to be on the team, as well as payed coaches. Re: Science Olympiad Classes
That's pretty intense there. They must really want to do well.
