And sk8lynne, I can just imagine all the anger towards that one kid from your team. You guys are lucky that that didn't prevent you from going to nats.
Yeah, that makes it even worse. EV was OK, i don't think i could have done much more for that. I never got the time!!! I think that's what made me lose.. If the recorded time is more than 0.2s away from what i predicted, I'm gonna kill a lolcat. For JYC, I was supposed to do the coin sorter, my partner the scale. Our water displacement scale would have worked fine, except for the fact that he forgot water. So I took all the tubes and stuff and made a really tall tower, puta piece of wood on top, taped a paper clip to it, linked another paperclip onto that one so it would point down, put a rubber band on it, and made a pan from a CD and duct tape. The MO was a chalk egg, and we just put that on the CD. We got 2 data points for calibration and when we went to test it, it tipped over twice and I don't know how off we were from the actual mass, but we got, at best 11th place (if you aren't in the top 10, you just get 1 point). In bridge, it broke obviously, efficiency was 399. the construction was fine, one of the pieces of wood just snapped early.

I'm really sorry to hear that. It's a shame that your SO career ended on a low note. And the fact that you couldn't control most of it, that just sucks. I'm really really sorry.
