Ok that helps. Here i live in Colorado and it is usually about half of the teams from each reigon go to state and you have to really suck to not qualify for stateIt all depends on your state. In some states half the teams go because there are so few teams. In bigger states, it's a real challenge.
I'm in NY, and to get to states, you have to be within the top 4 usually at regionals, depending on the amount of teams signed up. This year, I think they sent 5, which was more than ever, and there were 37 teams. In the past it's been 3 that go to states with 25-29 that compete. And there's 8 or 9 really competitive teams, with 3 of them usually unbeatable powerhouses.
For me, going to states would be probably be the same feat as some teams on here going to nationals.
