Well, yes, if they got second at states it would generally be assumed that they would go to nationals.
well, u never no. last year, 1 of their teammates told me that their principal wuznt gonna let them go 2 nats, cuz they'd miss finals. but then they didnt make it, so...
NO ONE BUT SEWICKLEY AND SSA WILL GO TO NATIONALS!!!!

<sarcasm>because Bala Cynwyd's going to come out of nowhere to get 2nd, upsetting Shady Side in one of the most surprising PA SO finals of all time?</sarcasm>
But seriously, I think BC and SS are going to be close, but I'd have to give BC an edge because of what they did at SE regionals.

Bala Cynwyd got a score of 80. 80 would be an excellent score anywhere, but considering that it is the region with the most teams, and it has Strath Haven, Welsh Valley, and Unami, 80 is an amazing score. Strath Haven came in second with 126. Bala Cynwyd dominated. They medaled in 18 of the 23 events.

ha
Sewickley medaled in all of their events with like a 60-something
SSA medaled in all but 3 of their events with a 70-something

it's gonna be close
To clarify... Bala Cynwyd medaled in all but 6 of their events IN THE HARDEST REGION IN THE STATE!!!

Last year Sewickley got in the 70's, and both BC and SS got in the 130's/140's, or something like that. For all of them to get under 100, that would be absolutely incredible. If my numbers are off, please clarify.

Bala Cynwyd got 142 at states last year and Shady Side got 158. Sewickley got 76. You're right Eaststroudsburg, it would be incredible if all three got under 100, and even more so if all three were in the 70's or 80's. That would mean that not only are all three of those teams probably capable of getting top 10 at nats, but all of the other top teams in the state have become much worse. It's very unlikely.
