1) Phylum Ginkgophyta, Class Ginkgoopsida, Order Ginkgoales, Family Ginkgoaceae (taxonomic naming schemes are helpful)
2) It arose in the Jurassic, and survives as a single species today
3) Grows in the wild in China
4) Um... carbonized film?
Tiebreaker) Ginkgo biloba (I assume you wanted the name)
