It's been a while, so I'll ask another question:

What is the use of iron to create a phytoplankton bloom in the ocean to remove CO2 from the atmosphere?

Iron is a limiting nutrient in the ocean, so adding it will cause phytoplankton to grow quickly (bloom). They'll photosynthesize and remove CO2 from the atmosphere that way. The bad part comes from when all the algae die and cause hypoxia instead.

I was looking for a word, not an explanation, but close enough. :D (Iron Fertilization is what I was looking for)

Your turn.

Nitrogen Dioxide. While it is a pollutant, it does not contribute to the greenhouse effect.

Why do the desert cactus and euphorb look and act similar, even though they live in entirely separate places of the world?

They have convergently adapted/evolved under similar environmental conditions (i.e. dry desert conditions). but are not considered homologous because they have arisen independently of each other.
note: isn't this question more of an evolutionary bio/ecology question, not very suitable for this event which is supposed to be more environmental science based?

If you consider it ecology then it's Part 1 of this event according to the rulebook.

But yeah, it's very evolutionary bio-ish which doesn't seem to be in the flavor of this event.
