Re: Green Generation B/C
SomeGuyOutThere, in what sense? There is one way to get electrical energy from carbon (combust it in an exothermic reaction, create steam, turn a magnet around a coil of wire and create an alternating current), but it can be stored in various and many forms, depending on the source. Could you specify which source of carbon you are discussing, or is this simply a general question?

Re: Green Generation B/C
Maybe he means carbon capture and storage (CCS)?
CO2 is captured from industrial processes and then transported though pipes to some underground geological formation where they won't go back into the atmosphere.

Justified double post. Let's get this marathon running again.

Both lentic and lotic are freshwater systems, but lentic systems are stillwater like a pond and lotic systems are flowing like a creek or river.c-trast wrote:What's the difference between lentic and lotic bodies of water? Name an example of each.

There are four types of them. They are Salt-Wedge, Fjord, Vertically Stratified, and Slightly Stratified estuaries.
