First Question: Why are the amphipathic characteristics of phospholipids vital to the structure of the bilayer of cell membranes?

Because the lipid bilayer becomes impermeable to polar molecules or solutes, but it can allows for the diffusion of hydrophobic molecules?

function of peroxisome: convert H2O2 into something useful(or not harmful) to the body?? i believe the formula is 2H2O2---> 2H2O and O2?

and the organ that uses it is the liver

1. Alpha structures have a cis configuration between the OH and the CH2OH group, while beta structures have a trans configuration between the two groups?
2. I don't know any other structural differences but molecules of alpha structured glucose link up to form starch whereas molecules of beta structured glucose makes up cellulose.

the first reason is correct!!

The second one im looking for is that alpha glucose is largely helical while beta glucose is straight and unbranched.

kk ur turn!
