an active sonar is where the systems makes sound, but passive sonar is when the object makes sound. with active, you listen for the echoes. i'm not sure if this is correct..

bluegiraffes18 isn't really active, so...
There is a yoga ball. Through a red filter, the yoga ball appears red. Through a cyan filter, the yoga ball appears blue. What color is the yoga ball?

Since the red filter absorbs all colors except for red, the light must contain red as a primary component. The cyan filter absorbs all colors excluding blue and green, and since blue is the only reflected color, the light must have blue as another primary component, but not green. The light must be composed of blue and red light, so it is magenta.

Magenta is correct. platinumfalcon is correct. I apologize in advance if I spelled any usernames wrong :!:

EDIT: Wait a minute... Why is there a platinumfalcon AND a goldfalcon posting one after another on the same thread with goldfalcon posting AFTER the answer has been revealed but still posting the answer a SECOND time :!: :?: :o

What is the Brewster angle of a boundary between air and crown glass (n=1.52)?

The Brewster angle is the angle when the initial ray and refracted ray equal 90 degrees, so ~56.66 degrees

Correct. Funny, it's about 0.98889 radians.
