I'm allowed to make new Question Marathons, right?

So Invasive Species will probably be the Bio ID event next year, and I plan on doing it. If anyone else wants to prepare for it now, here is the Question Marathon!

The Sea Lamprey is invasive to the Great Lakes.
1. How did it get there?
2. What is its genus and species?
3. Where is it native to?
4. What are some strategies that could keep it away from the Great Lakes region?

At this point, it's totally okay to look up the answers, as only those who have participated in the trial events can know anything.
