Probably a bit biased, but I was impressed by Piedmont's performance at Dodgen.
What about Piedmont's performance at Solon? And for that matter, what about our performance at Dodgen?
I'm not sure about FSA because at least when I was there, the team tended to relax too much before Nationals and ended up underperforming. If you all try harder than we did, I think you could get in the top 15 and will definitely break the standing record of 25th.
Must have missed you response in the flurry of posts at the time...

Anyway, that's mostly what I thought tended to happen; some of the strong events dropped massively (what happened in WIDI!?). Either way, I'm trying (semi-realistically) for top twenty in all my events and two medals; hopefully I can convince other people to get some work done.

1.Solon
2.Meads Mill
3.Daniel Wright
4.Beckondorff
5.Piedmont
And then I really don't know because there aren't really any other teams that stand out to me besides Magsig, but I don't know where to rank them.

Well, I think some of you may want to change your rankings. At Ohio States, Magsig got 4th place. Mentor Memorial is going instead. And according to this scoresheet, https://www.dropbox.com/s/10fxkcextjgbn ... s.pdf?dl=0 , Solon middle school got 64 points, beating the next team by 97! And this is Ohio, one of the most competitive states in the nation!

Yep, I had to change my 9th place team from Magsig to Memorial

I'll have to edit mine somewhat:

1. Solon (they've gotten way better since last year)
2. Daniel Wright (a strong finish at Mentor)
3. Meads Mill (I haven't heard much of them this year, but they'll probably do well)
4. Piedmont (large margin over Magsig and Memorial at Solon invite)
5. Beckendorff (dominating other Texas teams at invites)
6. Muscatel (traditionally in the top ten)
7. Marie Murphy (if they make it; Columbia got a lot better after a Nationals appearance last year, and SAA might do the same)
8. Winston Churchill (they lost to another in-state team at invites, but besides that not much to go by)
9. Longfellow (they've been in top ten before, and their state performance improved greatly)
10. Memorial (Ohio 2nd-4th was substantially further behind this year, and not just because of Solon's improvement)

Adi1008 wrote:These are just my opinions, please don't kill me if I ranked your team below where you think it should be.

1-5: I feel near certain that the top five teams are going to be these. I think that if the people at Beckendorff work hard then we/they have a chance at winning first, but Meads Mill and Solon were ridiculously close to winning it all if not for a couple of bad events. As always, Winston Churchill and Daniel Wright will be quite formidable teams and will make it even tougher for Beckendorff to repeat
1. Meads Mill
2. Beckendorff
3. Solon
4. Winston Churchill
5. Daniel Wright

6-7: I personally feel as if this team is a tier below the top but significantly better than the ones below, so I guess I'm just going to put them here
6. Marie Murphy (forgot about them)
7. Muscatel

8-10: I have no idea what I'm doing now, just throwing around some names I think can be in the top 10. I don't think I know enough about these teams to be able to rank them
Magsig, SAA, Paul Gelinas JHS, Auburn, Ladue, Piemont, Pembroke, Shady Side, and Eagle Hill
You cant forget about Springhouse Middle School. They are stronger this year I believe.

Peidmont middle put down a 57 yesterday at the NC state tournament. They could make some serious moves.
