Yes, your time score is multiplied by ten, so time is quite big. 4.9 seconds adds 49 points to your score, and your distance score contributes 6 points. You could have a 2 second scrambler (20 points) that is 35 cm off and get the same score, assuming no penalties.

The scoring is in on the second page of the Scrambler rules.

On Scrambler I got first at state, with 6 cm away from the barrier with 4.9 seconds if anyone wanted to know. The barrier was 9.75 meters as well.

Wow, good job! My state is a bit more competitive; we got 11cm away and slightly less than 3 seconds, and we got third. :D
