Does anyone know if the list of species will change that much for next year?
I'm guessing it won't change a ton (seeing how little lists for other events usually change), but there's more than enough invasive species to make a whole new list.

That being said, I really hope they specify species of Asian carps...and get rid of H5N5...please tell me I'm not the only one who can't stand H5N5...
To be fair, Michigan specified the species of carp

I could never find any information for H5N5, only H5N1.

So my sister dug up an old flower press she had from back in the day so I can start pressing some of the invasives I find. She had some plants in the box that she had pressed back when she used it, and I took a quick look in there and found these two.

It just occurred to me, but one change I really want to see on the list for next year: if Japanese Spiraea stays, change the spelling to Japanese Spirea.

Of course, this is still secondary to any changes with H5N5.

If you look very closely at some of the Tirisfl Glade plants of the Undead class in WoW you can see Russian Knapweed.

Went outside today and ran into a terrifying sight... (yeah, the images are really large)

Thankfully it was only 2 plants, so hand pulling was pretty easy.

In other news, Japanese Spirea has been in bloom here for the past few weeks.

Isn't St. Johnswort able to be classified as a somewhat helpful invasive, seeing as it's used in some medicines? I'm scrolling through these posts and I'm jealous--the only common invasives in my city are Japanese Honeysuckle, Alligatorweed, and the occasional Medusahead.
Well yes, but in this case it is not being cultivated with proper measures to prevent its spread, it's just growing freely in an extremely eroded part of my yard. The same thing kind of goes for Japanese Spirea. The plant in those two pictures is an ornamental in flower beds, which isn't a problem (yesterday evening I also came across some growing freely out in the woods, which is a problem).
Hey my dudes I'm doing Invasives!
