i think many teams came in with the impression that their bridge NEEDS to hold 15kg.

my daughters' bridge tests at home started at 5.06g with total load of 3089gr and latest before contest came in at 3.52g which held 2754g

was hoping to break 2k... definitely possible... but alas, event is over for them.

Here in Georgia I'm noticing consistently lower scores than I expected (I have yet to see a bridge cross 1200 in either division) despite there being so many early competitions (then again, Georgia is strange).
All I'll say is we had numerous teams break 1500 in both divisions in multiple regionals.

Mira Loma invite's winning score for C was in the high 1900. A little disappointing considering the winning score last year was over 2600...

I think the highest at Friendship Christian invite was over 1500, while second place was about half that.

Just back from our first invitational this year. Varsity team took 2nd place with a score just over 3400. Division B.

We ran bridges at last Saturday's Magsig Division B Invitational... Saw many, many different styles of bridges, all of which were impressive (for various reasons...). To receive a medal, a score of 3,000 was needed. To receive a ribbon (4th thru 8th place), it took a score in excess of 2,000. There were a total of 41 teams that participated.
