Re: Event Puns!
Creative Species
Short Event Description: Participants must come up with a new species, and explain in writing why that species would be a good idea.
Example: Dung Hippo - Such large animals would consume massive amounts of feces everyday, solving the problem of waste removal in less developed countries.

Not a even pun but...
Reverse Towers:
Short Event Description: Participants must try to build a tower that has the lowest weight held to weight of tower ratio.
That would actually be so hard....

Re: Event Puns!
You'd also have to make it hold as little weight as possible, but it still has to hold the loading block assembly (otherwise competition violation: +1000 points). Just imagine elite teams like Troy trying to build a really, really bad tower... they'd try and try, but they would keep scoring 4000+. You'd hear them cursing this event, and saying something like, "Ugh... it's so hard to build a tower that scores below 3500!"Name wrote:Lmao bring a stool to the competitionMadCow2357 wrote:Not a even pun but...

Time for a Revive!
Beaches on Mars (Reach for the Stars) - Participants will be assigned different beaches on the surface of Mars, and they must write a brochure about it within the given event time.
Battery Muggy (Battery Buggy) - At competition, participants attempt to mug other teams for their batteries. The team with the most batteries at the end wins.
Battery Buggy (Battery Buggy) - Participants try to electrocute and fry as many bugs as possible in competition using 8 AA batteries. Bonus points awarded for crispiness.
Lumo Bots - Participants build robots which mimic lumosityfan. Bonus points are awarded for making the bot win 75K in Jeopardy

Can't Judge a Pouter: Participants will be confronted by an angry child and try their best to settle the situation. There will be approximately 15 separate scenarios the participants must resolve. The tiebreaker is time taken. Techniques involving a compromise will be docked off 20% of the final score.

Crime Flusters: Same rules as Crime Busters, but teams must appear as stressed out as they can be during the test.
Lyme Busters: Teams must identify possible treatments for Lyme Disease and post-Lyme syndrome.
Time Busters: Same rules as Crime Busters, except teams must take as long as possible on the test, while staying within the time limit.
Mime Busters: Teams will be shown a mime, and will be asked to interpret what the mime is trying to communicate.
Node Scholar: Teams must study the lymphatic system of the human body.
Mode Scholar: Teams will be given a written test with sets of numbers on it, and must find which number appears most often in each set.

"Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you." Matthew 5:11-12
