Eats, Shoots, and Leaves: Your Versions

Post by Cheesy Pie » October 28th, 2011, 2:24 pm

The book Eats, Shoots, and Leaves is about funny comma misplacements in sentences. First they have the correct version with a picture. Then they have the funny version (commas added, moved, and/or removed) and a picture. Let's come up with our own! (pictures not necessary)

One of mine:
When eating, people use good manners.
When eating people, use good manners.
100% of deaths are somehow caused by science.
Don't be a statistic.
Don't do science.

When eating people, use good manners.
The usual example given:
Woman without her man is nothing

Which can be made into:
Woman, without her, man is nothing.

Or:
Woman without her man, is nothing.
(comma not really necessary, I'm just trying to embellish)
A new era has begun

Yeah, another typical example is:

Let's eat, Grandpa!
vs.
Let's eat Grandpa!
