I already mentioned this elsewhere, but in the test exchange one of the meteorology test questions is:
Where are the sun's rays most direct on the Earth?
A) South Pole
B) North Pole
C) Pacific Ocean
D) Equator
The correct answer, acording to the test, is B...
Those answers aren't in the right order, but you get the point

These were for definitions on a state DP test. I had no idea.

Triple junction: A junction that is three times more than a single junction.

Graben: When lava seems to grab at you while you are running away from it.

Tambora: Some volcano that exploded.

Sounds like something you'd find in the game "Balderdash," or "Yamodo"

"What's the ideal soil type for growing field corn?"
We answered "unicorns and rainbows." and then drew a diagram.

Mount Tambora, Lake Tambora, idk. I haven't gotten around to studying that, yet.

But hey, it was some volcano thing, right? And it did explode... right? ;)

I remember at an invitational that I went to last year, two of my team mates had to compete in Disease Detectives. These are two of the nicest and fun-loving guys you can meet. They're also big into video games. For the first page of the test they took it completely seriously. For the rest of the test, they related everything to the T-virus and Resident Evil. Since we got the tests back, I got the liberty of reading the test and it was hilarious. I'll have to post some of their answers for everyone to read.

My friend was talking about this...

Question:You have whatever disease blablabla...
Who are you? What year are you in.

Answer: I'm... me...? it's 2010.

It's too bad I forgot the question. It was supposed to be the "Father of Epidemiology" or something.

Also, there was this guy who took apart his (...physics? I think.)textbook and put it in a binder. It was taken from him at the end of the competition, but he got it back (very publicly) during the awards ceremony.
