Putting punctuation outside quotation marks is more logical, no (unless it's included in the quote)?

I only used it for the direct quote. I listed a book, which I own, for the actual reference...

You forget that I said "more logical."
I was referring to correctness, not logicality... Besides, that was also aimed at Tails' comment about erroneous grammar:

If we're talking about correctness, we should start at the basics....
The ellipses followed by a period (....) denotes the omission of a sentence between sentences, not just a trailing of speech or the omission of words. As for the "s," Tails has two of his namesake, so my subconscious jumped to thinking that "Tails" is a plural noun, and I didn't catch it when I re-read that...

The Southern dictionary can both exist and also not serve as a source for correct grammar. Either way, correcting other people's grammar in posts is a quite antagonistic thing to doThings2do, so how about we stop doing that.
Sorry, I just like this version better.
