I do remember that we were promised an elephant, although I don't remember why.

They were mentioning how they got an elephant for when they hosted nats in 1998.

Just wait, it's nearly 300 days until elephant right now, but it will be less than 100 before you know it.

There is a Science Olympiad Engineering Camp being held at Detroit Country Day School from August 8th to 12th for B and C division. If anyone is interested, a flyer can be found here: https://www.smore.com/2vrwg

I was just looking at the State website. Went on the State Tournament module.

It says:
The top 60 high school and the top 60 middle school teams from our Regions will compete for honor, personal satisfaction, and the privilege of representing Michigan at the National Tournament at Wright State University in Dayton, OH.
Is this right? Is there going to be 60 bids in each division next year?

Aaaand okay, I just heard from someone on my team that yes, it is.

The fact that MSU is moving up to 60 bids for each division suggest that maybe they're in the running for hosting nats...maybe.

So this would make Michigan the largest state tournament?
