Re: Pennsylvania 2016
The top 10 section of the spreadsheet is inconsistent with the full spreadsheet. Before posting anything else I am waiting on the state coordinators to confirm the results on Wednesday given the confusion.

Re: Pennsylvania 2016
That's what I meant by the score discrepancy. The full scores table includes the scores from Protein Modeling, while the top 10 listed does not. Sorry, that was kind of unclear (especially since I neglected to actually link to where I got the scores from, haha).

Perhaps this was explained earlier, but why are they excluding proteins from the scores?EastStroudsburg13 wrote:That's what I meant by the score discrepancy. Re: Pennsylvania 2016
I have no idea why they're excluded. I just know that they are. It's entirely possible that it's a mistake, because I haven't heard anything about Protein Modeling going wrong.

Re: Pennsylvania 2016
Congratulations to the teams, especially Rustin and BC on qualifying for Nationals, and Strath Haven and T/E for exceptionally strong showings (Strath's state score was better than their regionals score and if I remember correctly no one put in a predictions with T/E in the top ten).

Re: Pennsylvania 2016
Good job to all the teams who competed at states! Looking forward to seeing everyone who's going at Nationals!
Weird that Proteins doesn't seem to be counted in the final score though... only thing I can think about surrounding Proteins going wrong was that there was no where to place the struts on the onsite build without the protein being thrown out of conformation. Also in one of the time slots, the jmol html-competition environment thing had to be reloaded (which took time because they had to plug the internet flash drive in to every computer) because one of the features wasn't working, meaning some teams could start building before others so I don't really know.

Re: Pennsylvania 2016
Wow, the point difference between Springhouse and Bala Cynwyd was only six points. I see that Shady Side had some major event bombs. I wish everybody luck at Nationals!

Re: Pennsylvania 2016
As soon as someone posts, so I don't have to double post again, haha.
Prediction Results!
Points were awarded as follows: 5 points for an exactly correct prediction, 3 points if you were off by 1 place, 2 points if you were off by 2 places, 1 point if you were off by more but the team still finished in the top 10, and 0 points if the team did not finish in the top 10. Thus a maximum score of 50 is possible.
Tiebreakers have already been applied to these rankings. If you want to know where you were, you can ask me.

Congrats to John Richardsim for winning overall, even though he's not even from Pennsylvania! Us natives need to step up our game, apparently.
