Not sure. Does anyone know what would annoy the middle schoolers from MA the most? They were incredibly rude to me last year.

Hand out a bunch of Yankees memorabilia and wear as much Yankees branded clothing as possible, that's guaranteed to annoy anyone from Massachusetts.

Our team is going to Nats for the first time in a really long time - does anyone have advice on how many swap items to bring?

I believe our coaches ordered and received some stuff about 10 items per person. Maybe 2 or 3 larger items and the rest small. They also got us some dank zombie hats which I lost but found after the swap and am still planning to swap again. All if you have funding though. Ask rfscoach maybe.

Building on what Jaol said, be creative and find 10-15 things to bring with you... by which I mean large things like hats and not small things like pencils. Chances are that your team won't be able to fund swaps for everyone, so do your own thing and work up to a cheesehead!

Just an FYI for everyone that isn't familiar with the Science Olympiad swap meet;

The cheese hat is the Holy Grail of trades. Earning one grants immediate god status as a Science Olympian.

Just want to make the same offer I did last year... I usually don't get time to visit the swap meet except for perhaps a few minutes at the end, but if you run into me Friday or Saturday I'll have a special item from where I work, the Ohio Supercomputer Center, for competitors. I think it will be the 'holy grail' of swap meet items;)

I've heard some people use the items they trade at the swap meet to build their Mission... :P

I literally got a cheese hat in 8th grade at WSU on my first try by starting a trade right when a Wisconsin school walked in. Ended up trading half my stuff, but it was so worth it.

As in an actual holy grail?
