1. What gives coral polyps their color?
2. What is the speed of sound in air and water? Which medium is it faster in, and why?
1. Zooxanthellae
2. 343 m/s in air; 1454 m/s in water I think; Faster in Water because it is denser than air

Good, but
speed of sound in water is ~1482-1484 m/s

The elastic rebound theory was introduced by Henry Reid, and says that the crust of the earth gradually gains stress, and when the amount of stress exceeds the strength of the rock, the energy is released, resulting in an earthquake.

1) What type of volcanic eruption is considered the most violent type of eruption?
2) What famous volcano is attributed to this type of eruption?

Apologies for inactivity, school started up recently and I've been very busy.
