Re: Ecology B/C
Hi,
Last year, I got the AP Environmental Science textbook for Green Generation. But, the terrestrial sections weren't as detailed as they should have been. Does anyone know of any online textbooks/handouts that contain specific material on terrestrial ecosystems? Thanks!

I used this website http://www.ucmp.berkeley.edu/glossary/gloss5/biome/ to study terrestrial biomes. Also, the Ecology/Green Generation CDs contain a terrestrial biomes packet that reviews the biomes.sciolyFTW_aku wrote:Hi,

Re: Ecology B/C
Hey guys,
I'm a bit confused over the land percentage the tundra and taiga take up. Some sites say that the tundra takes up 20% of the Earth's surface (which seems sketchy), but most sites say the taiga is the biggest land biome and takes up 17% of the Earth's land. What's going on? Is it about the surface part (which includes water maybe)?

P.S. Inglemoor is looking really strong this year. I know some of the new sophomores up there. Best of luck to you both!

Oh,yes I've been also been having trouble with the deciduous forest. I went on the ecology part of the official science Olympiad website and I searched through the power point and resources but I didn't find a lot of information.
