It wasn't worded exactly like that, actually I went back to the test and know I'm confused. It was the last one from Kraemer invitationals if anyone has that test

I think gravity anomalies can help find which part of tectonics were once connected.

Passive margins are not near a plate boundary while active ones are. Passive margins have very little geological activity while active ones have lots.
