Re: New Jersey 2017
The University of Pennsylvania has announced a Division C invitational http://www.pennscienceolympiad.org/preregistration. This shouldn't be too far from most of New Jersey.

Re: New Jersey 2017
So even though NJ is desperate for event sups, UCC is still able to run two trial events?lumosityfan wrote:A "nearly complete" event list for the Union County Regionals has been posted! Enjoy!

Re: New Jersey 2017
Noticed that 2 of the 3 regional competition listed their event lists...
does this mean the other events are out completely or will the kids see these events when they go to the states/nationals?
thanks in advance.

Re: New Jersey 2017
The National Tournament runs the national event slate. From what I know of NJ, the state tournament usually runs all events, although they usually barely have enough event supervisors to do so.kinghong1970 wrote:Noticed that 2 of the 3 regional competition listed their event lists...

Re: New Jersey 2017
Usually what happens is only a certain number of events from the state list will be run at regionals and then the full list of events will be run at states and nationals. The state has full discretion on which events to run at regionals, though, which is why they change from region to region. Hope that helps!kinghong1970 wrote:Noticed that 2 of the 3 regional competition listed their event lists...

seems the NJIT regioin has some interesting events for this year.
as for helping out with the regional events, what does it involve?
i would love to be of help if i can... only issue is that it is smack in the middle of my major traveling schedule... but thinking if there is way of juggling my schedule around a bit...
thanks again.

Re: New Jersey 2017
Most likely you would just contact the regional director and ask them about it, although it may work differently in NJ (e.g. in NY it would probably be a more complicated process involving the state event supervisor). Lumosityfan can probably give you a more definite answer.kinghong1970 wrote:Thanks for the reply.lumosityfan wrote:Usually what happens is only a certain number of events from the state list will be run at regionals and then the full list of events will be run at states and nationals.
