Whoops, yes I did. They should be right above New Trier.Private Wang Fire wrote: Erm I think you left LASA out.

Troy destroyed everyone in terms of the test, according to the supervisor.antoine_ego wrote:Any idea what the top score for hovercraft test portion was? By my calculations from comparing our two teams, I think it's 35 which is what we got on the test. Is there any other score higher than this? Re: MIT Invitational
This happened due to a snafu in their printed schedule, which made them show up late to WIDIyang573 wrote: 5. LASA (55th in WIDI?)

Re: MIT Invitational
I'm noticing a trend in WIDI being very volatile...yang573 wrote:Going through the rankings of the A/B teams, it seems like the overall rankings are:
1. Troy (nothing of note)
2. Seven Lakes (2nd & 25th)
3. Solon (82 total point dif. for those B did better)
4. Harriton (47 point dif. from Solon A)
5. LASA (55th in WIDI?)
6. New Trier (6th & 45th)
7. Chattahoochee (8th & 36th)
8. Acton-Boxborough (60th in WIDI?)
8. Columbia (54th in WIDI?)
10. Mentor (128 total point dif. for those B did better)
The two Solon teams may not synthesis nicely, but I think they have what it takes to beat Harrition. I'm not so sure about Acton-Boxborough, and those WIDI results are odd. I have no idea about Mentor, because they have huge point gaps between their teams (eg. Chem Lab and R&M).
EDIT: I forgot LASA. I've removed Boca Raton, which would be 11th overall.
Rest in Peace Len Joeris

If you take a look at last year's national results for WIDI, some of these results aren't as surprising as they may first seem; it's more in comparison to the rest of their results.antoine_ego wrote:I'm noticing a trend in WIDI being very volatile...
So much to do, so little time.

Re: MIT Invitational
Our B team got a mass score of 1860, time of 12.4 ==> 47.4435 on build. Our A team got a full mass score and a time score of 9 ==> 34 on buildjkang wrote:Troy destroyed everyone in terms of the test, according to the supervisor.antoine_ego wrote:Any idea what the top score for hovercraft test portion was? Our A team got a 35 on test, our B team got a 26.
B team ended up 7th, A was 8th.
therefore 47.4435 + 50* 26/x is slightly larger than 34 + 50* 35/x (let's say the difference is 2 points, which is probably being somewhat generous)
Thus the max score is between 35 and 39
I take that personally, that 23rd in WIDI last year was hard-earned >:(yang573 wrote:kenniky wrote:WIDI is always a tossupIf you take a look at last year's national results for WIDI, some of these results aren't as surprising as they may first seem; it's more in comparison to the rest of their results.antoine_ego wrote:I'm noticing a trend in WIDI being very volatile...
To be fair though, our team never has the same WIDI team between invitationals and nationals
I'll do a review of my events once someone else posts in order to avoid double posting

Are you allowed to tell raw scores, and if yes, does anyone know the tower scores?

Haha, it's all in jest. IMO though WIDI is one of the most volatile events there isyang573 wrote:I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend.kenniky wrote:I take that personally, that 23rd in WIDI last year was hard-earned >:(yang573 wrote: If you take a look at last year's national results for WIDI, some of these results aren't as surprising as they may first seem; it's more in comparison to the rest of their results.

Re: MIT Invitational
I do not know whether the raw scores will be released or not but I placed fourth in the event with ~2320. Hope that helps.Complexity wrote:Are you allowed to tell raw scores, and if yes, does anyone know the tower scores?
