Re: Predictions for Nationals
I think Solon has a very good chance of repeating in B division. The crushing that happened at Ohio states was shocking. I think people should be on the lookout for Sewickly, probably a top 5 team who could go pretty low. In C division, you have to assume Troy will win again: I've seen no evidence that they won't be just as dominant as ever. Centerville will probably be top 5, and I think they have a good shot of getting into the top three again. But you can't discount the old favorites: Grand Haven, Fayetteville-Manlius, Harriton, and Poudre all look good this year.

With knowing their score in 20 of 23 events it is not hard to figure it out.eyeball138 wrote:I know that...the scores from PA haven't come out yet.

Re: Predictions for Nationals
Solon has a pretty good chance of winning assuming nothing like what happened to the high school happens. I don't know how will division C come out. Solon HS is out, centerville has a chance of winning. FM and Troy's elevated bridges seem to stink this year. Troy got 16th of 25 teams and FM got 11th with the highest being 1150. So many schools seem to not do as well as last year. Poudre doesn't seem to do as well. I truly wonder who will win division C.

One prediction for B Division: Solon will be champs again. Nuff said.

Re: Predictions for Nationals
Actually, the reason that Troy got 16th was that the builder had forgotten to double check the height of his bridge and it was less than a mm too high.

Re: Predictions for Nationals
I don't know about Grand Haven doing too well. They'll still be in the top 10, but I don't see them as a threat to win. I don't have results from states, but I don't think that they crushed the competition.anon y mouse wrote:I think Solon has a very good chance of repeating in B division. Re: Predictions for Nationals
True enough. Is the Troy bridge building team good this year? Are they going to be competitive at the top of that event? Are they up in the 2000+ range? 1700+?prehistoricman5 wrote:Actually, the reason that Troy got 16th was that the builder had forgotten to double check the height of his bridge and it was less than a mm too high.

But you can't figure it out exactly. I would agree that they're a very dangerous team. It's likely they get in the top 5.rockhound wrote:With knowing their score in 20 of 23 events it is not hard to figure it out.eyeball138 wrote:I know that...the scores from PA haven't come out yet.
