Harriton's and Penncrest's junkyard and EV were national ready by states. Harriton is a beast this year and the last time a PA team won states with a score that low, they won nationals (Harriton in 2005). Good luck to all of you from the team you gave a good ole' fashion butt whooping to. Can't wait to see how they finish. We hope you take it all.
Err... about EV and Junkyard.... Well... they aren't/weren't exactly ready for nationals, especially not at states..... The tasks change, and I know from first hand experience, the goal the week before states isn't to get something ready for nationals, it's to get it ready for states! Frankly, it's hard to tell from states, or even one competition; a low score in one competition could be result of a good day, and getting first at nationals requires being flawless... no DQ's, which are all too easy to get. Also looking at Penncrest's scores, and being at the competition, I know that they frankly had a bad day, a lot of their build events fell apart, build events that got a lot worse from regionals to states, build events that can easily be repaired. I'll repeat, it's to hard to tell from one competition what the outcomes for nationals would be, because one competition is so random...

sigh, I should be doing a lab report

/end of rant
Was EV the one event that Harriton didn't get top 6 in? :D

No, Harriton got 2nd in EV and 1st in Junkyard. That seems pretty good to me... :? Penncrest did get 6th in EV.

But, the year CMS won nationals they got 36 pts in New Jersey, which is complete domination (almost all first places). This year isn't the same level...but why does everyone think Solon is so great, didn't they only win nationals once?...I'm kinda out of tune with this stuff.
73 pts at OHIO states is crazy, a score like that at a state which always produces powerhouse SO teams is incredible.
Ohio in the past years has produced national teams that ALWAYS crack the top ten
and just last year we both cracked the top three
showing how competitve ohio is getting
its no longer just chardon solon and magsig fighting for the top two spots
teams are uprising
and for solon to blow away possibly some of the best in the nation is impressive
* though i won't disregaurd that 36 pts is VERY impressive in any state of competition*
i commend them for that...

I think Solon's 1st Booth 2nd Chardon 3rd and the rest i'm not sure about, though I think Sewickley's going to get top 15.

Sewickley's probably getting top 10, if not top 5. A team that can win PA by 50 points has to do pretty good at nats.

Well, last year Sewickley got like 76, and I don't think they made the top 5.
solon got third... i am happy :o :o :o

Actually, I think that their bridge just sucked.
I was there. it was pretty bulky
hehe reminded me of a plank :)

I think that (for B Division) after Solon being champs, the rest of the top ten is up for grabs. I mean we can easily guess which teams will comprise the top 10, but the specific places is something up for grabs.
