My old team has had (co-)captains for two years now, and it seems like a pretty common idea to me, but not everyone has it. It's a nice idea though, gives some recognition to the hardest workers.
there are some teams though that that would be almost impossible on

yeah i agree. Everybody on the gelinas team is a hardworker, but our coach manages to pick who he thinks deserves it. But I'm sure most of the people on our eam deserve it.

Its not necessarily those who work hardest on their events, but those who work hardest in managing the team. A lot of work goes into trying to keep everything together, and it helps if a coach can pick a couple of captains to help him out.
2009 events:
Fossils: 1st @ reg. 3rd @ states (stupid dinosaurs...) 5th @ nats.
Dynamic: 1st @ reg. 19thish @ states, 18th @ nats
Herpetology (NOT the study of herpes): NA
Enviro Chem: 39th @ states =(
Cell Bio: 9th @ reg. 18th @ nats
Remote: 6th @ states 3rd @ Nats
Ecology: 5th @ Nats

Nerds rule. Nerds are awesome. Nerds will someday (soon) rule the world. And you know it.

The tests are usually released in the coaching packets for the coming year. Don't expect to see them just posted on the net.
