So what actually ended up being the max times at nats? Huge congrats to Huntington Middle School by the way, first WV gold!

The actual recorded flight time was a 2:17 with a no touch flight. It was exciting to watch because they didn't appear to have any extra room between the top of the plane and the lights / beamJasperKota wrote:So what actually ended up being the max times at nats? Wow, seems like predictions were wrong, although competition often times doesn't go the way practice does. Nationals 2017 report:
Many teams were not prepared for the 22' ceiling and several hit the ceiling and obstructions. Those teams who could fly no touch did well.
From memory, the winning team as well as most of the other top finishers flew at least one no touch flight. The actual times (in seconds and the best of the 2 flights) are listed below:
1 Huntington M.S. (WV) 137.6
2 Winston Churchill M.S. (CA) 136.28
3 Daniel Wright J.H.S. (IL) 130.82
4 Shady Side Academy (PA) 117.69
5 Marie Murphy M.S. (IL) 117.09
6 Preston M.S. (CO) 114.75
