WATERMARK
Dear SciOly.org,
I’m sure I speak for everyone that you do so much for us. You are a great source of information and a good place to meet new people. Yet, why the HUGE watermark in the middle of the screen? It’s uncesscarily large. It makes reading articles and text much harder, which is the whole point of the forums. Please reduce the size of the watermark or get rid of it.
Thank you,
Kylari04

Re: WATERMARK
I agree the new watermark is huge and overbearing. If anything how about making it a little more lighter so you can at least read the articles through it. Not sure why it is needed in the first place.

Re: WATERMARK
I completely understand the need for scioly.org to make sure all aspects of its copyright are kept within the organization and not abused by those who choose to do so. On that note, if someone IS abusing the privilege of using your site, please make them aware and if they do not "cease and desist", find a way to make the site unavailable to them. Our first year in SO three years ago, I scanned the manual and posted it to our school SO website. I genuinely had no idea this was taboo. The national organization contacted me and ask me to take it down, said there would be no "consequence" and we moved forward, never repeating that mistake. Conversely, we had some very slanderous - and very untrue - comments made about our team on scioly.org a ways back. The comments were partially blacked out, but remain until today. The student was permitted continued access and no sanction on the local level - other than an apology - was imposed. You have such a great site and I find such decent and good people involved here that I am sure we would all stand behind you if you decided to impose some type of consequence for copyright infringement - or any other indiscretion, but the watermark is too cruel and inhumane

I saw that twice before realizing (tbh I completely forgot about April Fool's).CMS AC wrote:There is a second thing where they change "national s"to "regionals" I think... It's an autocorrect.
There are probably several other censors - note the one above that got changed to "Easter", in italics.
