This is a decent test on physical vs. chemical: http://www.mrwiggersci.com/chem/Tutoria ... ksburg.htmEureka314 wrote:Does anyone know of any practice test on physical properties?

Thank you but I was wondering more about what exactly the questions for the physical properties section of the test would be like. Is just going to be like identifying substances based on a set of properties or something else like that?

Re: Chemistry Lab C
If I were you, I would know the difference in between a physical and chemical property as well as basic physical properties for a substance. (Boiling point, density, etc....)Eureka314 wrote:WhatScience? wrote:This is a decent test on physical vs. chemical: http://www.mrwiggersci.com/chem/Tutoria ... ksburg.htmEureka314 wrote:Does anyone know of any practice test on physical properties?

Hey y'all, I was working on my outline of the event this year, and was unsure about something with the thermo part. Would y'all recommend having a full table of ΔH ΔG and S values for various elements and compounds like what's in a textbook or will the necessary ΔH ΔG or S values be provided on the test? Thanks!

Re: Chemistry Lab C
I remember reading that tests should provide any constants we need. Sometimes if you practice enough you can memorize some common values, but in theory we shouldn't have to worry about these. If someone wants to be really careful though, I bet they could squeeze a small chart onto an information sheet.Bluuduck wrote:Hey y'all, I was working on my outline of the event this year, and was unsure about something with the thermo part. Re: Chemistry Lab C
I would put it on if you have any extra space - you can find really nice tables at the back of most chemistry textbooks and you can shrink them down to one side of paper and still make it readable.Bluuduck wrote:Hey y'all, I was working on my outline of the event this year, and was unsure about something with the thermo part. The tests state that necessary constants should be provided but I would not count on that

Re: Chemistry Lab C
You absolutely, at the minimum, need a chart of delta H values. I can't name how many tests had unanswerable questions because of this. You're allowed 10 pages of info so you might as well fill them with as many charts and data tables as possible
