The topics list has a few changes - it's gotten more specific (slightly). Notably, bacterial isolation and microbial resistance, and several Nationals topics.

N. fowleri...because it's so dangerous (and interesting in a twisted way), I always end up mentioning it, anyway. It does seem they went for some hot topics there, though, because Zika was a big deal two summers ago.

Honestly, N. fowleri, being as rare as it is, ranks lower on my list of "smol things to be terrified about". Though you're right about Zika, it was such a huge deal that I was kind of surprised it didn't appear on previous lists. I also thought EHF would get more attention on some of the tests.
