I am not sure how to type in these forums but what do these numbers entail again after the rock or mineral on the list? I don't remember this being the way the list was set up in the past.

The 2014 list was arranged in alphabetical order within each category (minerals, metamorphic rocks, igenous rocks, and sedimentary rocks). The 2017 list preserves the numbers from the 2014 list despite the different order.

I still use the old list because i find it easier to find things when they are alphabetized but that just me.

I personally liked them better alphabetically too, I feel like it was easier to find things. The new list also removes a level of complexity by just telling you the groups instead of making sure you know them.
2009 events:
Fossils: 1st @ reg. 3rd @ states (stupid dinosaurs...) 5th @ nats.
Dynamic: 1st @ reg. 19thish @ states, 18th @ nats

Enviro Chem: 39th @ states =(
Cell Bio: 9th @ reg. 18th @ nats
Remote: 6th @ states 3rd @ Nats
Ecology: 5th @ Nats

I hope I have the old list somewhere, I think I am still more accustomed to that list than I am to the new one. It took me a few moments to scan through the list to make sure no new minerals or rocks were added or removed.

Isn't this a Lab Event?
"Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you." Matthew 5:11-12

I have no regrets.
