My apologies. You are right that it is confusing considering two answers were given. I meant to say that WhatScience was correct by identifying it as a physical change.

In my opinion,

A change in odor indicates a chemical change has taken place, although odor is a physical characteristic. You worded the question incorrectly.

This is correct...a change in odor is chemical

odor itself is physical
