I'm gonna guess: the ice melts, which makes water. The water wets the surface the glacier is on, causing it to slip and slide at a pretty slow pace

Speaking of glaciers, does anyone know any good study resources, because I don't want to be guessing that the how of glacier movement is caused by gravity and the glacier weathering anything else in its way down.

2. Name a volcano that has caused a jökulhlaup in the past.
3. Are glaciers thinner or thicker than sea ice?

2. Katla. It's in Iceland.

Correct. I would check the volcano, but basically every volcano in Iceland has caused a jökulhlaup. Your turn.
