2.What is a spur route?

2. Which way do the contour line "Vs" face on a river? (Upstream or Downstream)

Correct me if I’m wrong, but don’t we need the cardinal directions with the bearing in order to calculate it (and you need the cardinal directions for it to be a bearing period, otherwise it’s an azimuth)

Sorry, I'm apparently oblivious, but what is magnetic bearing, because when I google it I just come up with magnetic ball bearings. Or did you just mean bearing?
