Re: Southern California 2018
Thank you for informing us to the existence of the scoresheets in question. May I inquire as to where I might find said scoresheets?bobkalobsky wrote:Yesdxu46 wrote: Are there any scoresheets?

I thought Kennedy and Jeffrey Trail both placed in Roller coaster at Mesa. Is the final team result spreadsheet posted somewhere?SOPomo wrote:Mesa Robles Invite

Re: Southern California 2018
Good. As is the chance for Jeffrey Trail, Oak Valley, Carmel Valley and Pacific Trails also. Any of those teams could if they don't blow an event. The team that wins it will be the most consistent from top to bottom. Blow a build event likely blows the chance in state.WhatScience? wrote:What are the chances of Kraemer winning socal states this year?

Re: Southern California 2018
It's the Big3 and then the rest. The top 3 will be, in no particular order, - Carmel Valley, Oak Valley and Pacific Trails.chick-fil-a for life wrote:San Diego Regionals is this weekend! Any predictions on placements?
Don't be surprised if Pacific Trails wins it. Their team Hubble beat five CVMS teams (less one who was at the Mesa invite that day) and two Oak Valley teams (but not their best) at the CV invite two weeks ago. That was the only competition we have for them. Remember that these PTMS students would have gone to CVMS before the school opened 3-years ago, they went to state last year and finished 6th. They actually have a shot at winning state, although I think that it will be an OC school this year (Jeffrey Trail or Kraemer). CV and OV have more depth than PTMS so will be more formidable when they put a state team together and will give the OC schools another run for their money.
Carmel Valley and Oak Valley are solid, handily beating the Black Mountain team in other invites which I might put into 4th.
The best info for the SD Regional comes from the CVMS invite which had many of the SD teams there. Pacific Trails Hubble won, CVMS finished 2nd and 3rd, Oak Valley 5th and 6th (not the best teams), CVMS 7th, then another Pacific Trails 8th. As you can see, those three schools dominated. The 3rd place went to a Keaemer team that was not their best. Black mountain did not participate.
After that, I might put a surprisingly strong Ocean Air Elementary. These 5th and 6th graders are well coached and have been making states every year. They finished 9th at the CVMS invite. Meadowbrook (13th at CVMS) and Design39 (16th at CVMS) should follow.
Now who wins the OC regional?
