Thanks. Clearly I still have a lot of work to do though...rfscoach wrote:Georgia Division C State results:

I'll probably get to the prediction contest results sometime later this week. I'm pretty happy that I got all of the correct teams though...

Re: Georgia 2018
Prediction contest results:
1. Alex-RCHS (42)
2. Unome (40)
3. potato (36) on first TB
4. Tailsfan101 (36)
5. d4dd7y00n (35)
6. dxu46 (33)
7. EastStroudsburg13 (32) on first TB
8. roykim (32)
9. rfscoach (32)
10. BigBrown (28)
11. mcmn1619 (26)
12. "eyengoewe" (25) - invalid username as far as I can tell
Scores were generally higher, mainly because of the relative ease in predicting the top 3. Alex-RCHS and I both correctly predicted all of the top ten teams, though in an incorrect order of course, which netted us somewhat higher scores than the next few predictions.
Also, raw scores posted

Re: Georgia 2018
Well, needless to say I’m surprised. I did spend some time on the predictions (30 minutes?) so they weren’t just random, but still...
If I did this for NC would anyone be interested?

Re: Georgia 2018
I myself am particularly attracted to prediction contests, hence entering myself into both GA polls. The state doesn't really matter to me a whole lot. I would be willing to enter into NC or IL prediction contests, in response to Alex and TheChiScientist.
"Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you." Matthew 5:11-12
I have no regrets.

Re: Georgia 2018
For those not yet aware, there's a new coaches workshop in Georgia on July 27-28. I assume, based on the lack of any school name specifically attached as well as the location, that it's being run by the state organization.

It is, indeed, being run by the GA SciOly State Organization.Unome wrote:For those not yet aware, there's a new coaches workshop in Georgia on July 27-28. I assume, based on the lack of any school name specifically attached as well as the location, that it's being run by the state organization.
BUT, it is a workshop for ALL coaches, not just new coaches.

Re: Georgia 2018
I guess I was ambiguous with my wording - I meant that the coaches workshop was new...anagene wrote:It is, indeed, being run by the GA SciOly State Organization.Unome wrote:For those not yet aware, there's a new coaches workshop in Georgia on July 27-28.
