Re: Massachusetts 2018
I would add:
Division C Dartmouth Invitational 12/16/2017
Division C Brown Invitational 2/3/2018
Division C Harvard Invitational, Sunday 1/28/2018
Division C Yale Invitational (last year's website)
The Division B State Director, Brian Niece, is leaving his position to become the site coordinator, while Erin O'hara is replacing him as director. The locations for the state tournaments in each division are the same as last year's, with the Division C date confirmed to be 3/17/2018. Events run at state are not yet confirmed.
There is also a Division B Five College Invitational, hosted at UMass Amherst, which I am planning with a few others. The prospective date for this is 1/27/2018. It is still uncertain whether this tournament will be a possibility, so stay tuned. If you are interested in attending or helping out with this, please leave me a reply or a PM.

Yeah so it doesn't seem there was much excitement for this anyway, but we've decided to postpone this until at least 2019 due to several problems we've encountered.Magikarpmaster629 wrote: There is also a Division B Five College Invitational, hosted at UMass Amherst, which I am planning with a few others. Re: Massachusetts 2018
I believe there could be minor excitement for it (i.e. on the scale of 20 teams or so), there just aren't a lot of B divisioners from the New England area who are active on the forums. By the same token, however, if you are running into administrative issues, that is much more of a limiting factor.Magikarpmaster629 wrote:Yeah so it doesn't seem there was much excitement for this anyway, but we've decided to postpone this until at least 2019 due to several problems we've encountered.Magikarpmaster629 wrote: There is also a Division B Five College Invitational, hosted at UMass Amherst, which I am planning with a few others. Re: Massachusetts 2018
I think there definitely is interest, I know at least the Coolidge coach was very excited; just not interest on the forums. But yes the reason we've put it off is mainly because it takes a full year and a half to become a registered club at UMass with funding capabilities, and we're going to start small by mentoring the local schools in Scioly.EastStroudsburg13 wrote:I believe there could be minor excitement for it (i.e. on the scale of 20 teams or so), there just aren't a lot of B divisioners from the New England area who are active on the forums. Re: Massachusetts 2018
So... how local would a school in Boston be? :p BTW, Boston Latin School was very interested, if that helps (though sorry if we didn't really show it). I also couldn't really find any scioly alumni at the 5 schools...Magikarpmaster629 wrote:I think there definitely is interest, I know at least the Coolidge coach was very excited; just not interest on the forums. The issue with that is that the invitational would have been Division B :/ Btw, hope to see y'all at MIT!gryphaea1635 wrote:So... how local would a school in Boston be? :p BTW, Boston Latin School was very interested, if that helps (though sorry if we didn't really show it).
