Seniors in 2018 have seen Meads Mill place 1st every year since the 6th grade.

That's amazing. It's also an amazing upset.

Slauson's gap of 32 years between state championships may be the longest time period between state championships for a single school in the nation.

Anybody know what went down with Troy? We heard they were DQ'd from Write it Do it, but they placed 36th in the results. A DQ should have been a 52 I think, why didn't they get 36? Then they only had like 5 kids at the awards and no roar from the crowd whenever they were announced, so I suspect most of them packed up and went home.

I didn't hear that part, but it looks like they had low scores in some of their other events as well. I'm not sure exactly why they wouldn't be there, but a DQ would make sense. That would be pretty devastating to their nationals hopes.

From what I heard about the incident, it was completely accidental, so I'm guessing it was appealed (DQs are not an appropriate penalty for an accident).

Official scores are up. There is a big change for Saline with them moving from 47th to 9th in Mission, changing their overall ranking from 11th to 9th. Didn't notice anything else except that.
