Did anyone happen to hear what event was not being scored for the NE region? I thought I heard an event being thrown out on the livestream.

All C division events were scored. I can not speak to B division.

They are holding out slots for the teams that couldn’t make it. The slots go to the region where they compete. If no teams from the NE region that didn’t show up because of snow goes to another region, they will go back the the NE region and the 6th place C could end up going. It all depends on the number of teams competing at a tournament. With teams not showing up, the NE region lost 2 slots that could end up in a larger region.

This percentages of slot allotments were agreed upon by the region directors before the season began.

Huh, I wasn't familiar with the specifics of the policy but this actually makes a lot of sense! Thanks!

NEPA scores were posted.

Top 10 B Division:
1. Harlan Rowe - 55
2. Abington Heights - 69
3. Dallas - 109
4. Wayne Highlands - 111
5. Wilkes-Barre Academy - 138
6. Wyoming Seminary - 184

7. Jersey Shore - 195
8. Wallenpaupack - 204
9. Lake Lehman - 206
10. Sugar Valley Rural - 269

Top 10 C Division:
1. Abington Heights - 78
2. North Pocono - 92
3. Stroudsburg - 92
4. Wyoming Area - 149
5. Wallenpaupack - 161

6. Athens Area - 182
7. Dallas - 197
8. Scranton Prep - 201
9. East Stroudsburg South - 202
10. Lehighton Area - 230

4 B teams and 3 C teams dropped due to weather, so we will wait and see if any compete at Central or Central East. 3 additional C teams no-showed rather than withdrew (all incidentally from my area; get your stuff in order guys!) so I don't know if they will be competing at a different regional or not.

Also, Wyoming Area did not have a B team. Interesting to see if that continues.

Both of which are record scores for the past decade or so. Even with the region being a little smaller due to snow, those are really strong scores.

Yep. And, granted, the region probably isn't as strong as it once was with Park Forest leaving and now Wyoming Area not fielding a B division team this year, but a 55 is impressive regardless of circumstances.

Pardon my ignorance, but... Why would a Pennsylvania team be named after NJ's coastline?

Actually, [after Googling it] Jersey Shore Middle School is named after the city it's in, Jersey Shore PA.
"Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you." Matthew 5:11-12

I have no regrets.

Wikipedia wrote:Jersey Shore was originally named Waynesburg by the two brothers, Reuben and Jeremiah Manning, who laid out the town circa 1785. Around the time that this was happening, a settlement arose on the eastern side of the West Branch Susquehanna River (Nippenose Township), opposite Waynesburg. A rivalry developed between the two settlements, and those on the eastern shore began referring to the settlement on the western shore as the "Jersey Shore," because the Manning family had relocated from New Jersey. The nickname became so fixed that in 1826 the original name of Waynesburg was officially abandoned and changed to Jersey Shore.

Next we can discuss why PA also has a Delaware County, Wyoming Valley, and the cities of Indiana and California in PA to name a few.
