Re: Unofficial Rankings B

Post by EastStroudsburg13 »

Not currently; that's something I started introducing this year in my PA algorithm, so I might consider doing something like that in the future, although it's hard to add more items that depend on knowing states results when so many states still don't release scores. As for why Piedmont is so high, I think it's a combination of the algorithm still finding their states score this year decent, plus how their past performances happen to line up. They're very close to 7th and 8th within the ranking, so I think 6th is much closer to Piedmont's high end.

This actually sounds pretty accurate.
"Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you." Matthew 5:11-12

I have no regrets.

Why is it unlikely? they've been decreasing point-wise for the last two years that they've won, so it makes sense.

My gut tells me otherwise based on what I saw/heard at ISO state. Also, it's not like I am saying they will get over top 5. I think 2nd if not 3rd. Solon might be able to beat them. Just saying. ;)

My Rankings
1. Daniel Wright
2. Beckendorff
3. Solon
4. Tower Heights????
5. Piedmont

As someone coming from Piedmont, our score was MUCH higher at states than last year. But I think we still have a good shot at top 5.
Ok this is epic 8-)
Events 2018: Battery Buggy (3rd at Nats), Rollercoaster (18th at Nats), Ping Pong (1st at states)
Events 2019: Codebusters, Ping Pong Parachute (2nd at Regionals OVERALL), Thermodynamics
Events 2020: Sounds of Music, Designer Genes, Ping Pong Parachute

1. Daniel Wright
2. Beckendorff
3. Solon
4. Kennedy
5. Meads Mill
6. Longfellow
7. Springhouse
8 or 9. Community
8 or 9. Paul J. Gelinas
10.Piedmont

Considering the Gelinas and SSA beat Piedmont at Cornell, I don't know if they improved or not.
Also, Springhouse and Community beat Gelinas at Rustin at the beginning of the year. (We got 3rd by 1 point)
Beckendorff seems very OP this year.
